Check a guest in or out from Today

Today’s movements lists every guest due in or out today - Arrivals on one side, Departures on the other - with a one-tap button on each row. Checking in starts the stay; checking out completes it and frees the unit for the next guest.

Screen /today · Roles: Admin, Point of Contact, Booking Manager, Property Manager, Front Desk
  1. On Today, find the guest under Arrivals. Each row shows the guest’s name, the unit, the nights, and their phone number - the door call is one glance away.

  2. Press Check in. A dialog asks “Has this guest arrived?” and repeats the stay’s facts - dates, unit, party size, reference - so you can match them against the person in front of you.

  3. Confirm with “Yes, check in …” - the button carries the guest’s own name, so the last click is self-checking: several arrivals share a day, and this is what stops you from checking in the wrong one. Not yet backs out.

  4. The row shows Done and leaves the list. The guest now counts in the In house tile on the Daily Report.

When a group arrives together, tick each arrival who is actually there (or Select all arrivals) and press Check in selected (3) - the number is how many you ticked. A dialog asks Check in 3 guests?; confirm with Check in 3 guests. Each guest is checked in exactly as if you had done them one at a time, so the same rules apply to each. If some cannot be checked in, the rest still are, and the message says how many went through and why the others did not.

  1. Find the guest under Departures. If money is still owed, the row shows an amber “… due” chip with the amount - settle it before they leave, because collecting after checkout is much harder.

  2. Press Check out, then confirm with “Yes, check out …” - again carrying the guest’s name. This marks the stay complete and frees the unit to prepare for the next guest.

  3. The unit now waits for cleaning dispatch: it counts in Units to turn over under Quiet signals, and in the Turnovers card behind Show the details.

Two more lists appear in the same card when something was missed:

  • Overdue check-ins - the check-in day passed in the last 30 days and nobody recorded the arrival. If the stay is already over, the button reads Check in & out and records both, on the booking’s own dates, so the unit can get its turnover cleaning.
  • Overdue check-outs - the guest was checked in, the check-out day passed in the last 30 days, and nobody recorded the departure.

Each row says when it was due; See all opens the full list.
