Set cleaning rules
Cleaning rules let Stay n Host plan two kinds of clean for you, per property: a stayover clean during a guest’s stay, and a deep clean after every few guests. Both arrive on the turnover board as planned, unassigned cleans, so your coordinator still decides who does them.
Set the rules
Section titled “Set the rules”- Open Properties, pick the property, and go to its Settings tab.
- In Cleaning rules, fill in the boxes you want. Leave a box empty to switch that
rule off.
- Stayover clean every (days): a clean during the stay every this many days (1 to 60).
- Only for stays of at least (nights): shorter stays get no stayover clean. Empty means any stay.
- Deep clean every (checkouts): after this many guests leave a unit, that turnover is a deep clean (2 to 100).
- Read How this works under the boxes. It changes as you type and shows exactly what the rule will plan.
- Click Save cleaning rules.
A worked example
Section titled “A worked example”Every 3 days for stays of 5 nights or more: a stay from 1 Oct to 8 Oct gets cleans on 4 Oct and 7 Oct. A stay from 1 Oct to 4 Oct (3 nights) gets none, because it is shorter than 5 nights.
A stayover clean never lands on the arrival day (the unit was just turned over) or on the departure day (the turnover clean covers it).
With a deep clean every 4 checkouts, the 4th guest to leave a unit triggers a deep clean on their checkout day, and the count starts again. Cancelled bookings never count.
What happens next
Section titled “What happens next”Every hour, Stay n Host looks one week ahead and plans what the rules call for. Each planned clean shows on Housekeeping with a Stayover or Deep clean badge, unassigned, and with a note naming the rule. Name a cleaner and dispatch it as you would any planned cleaning.
A clean is planned once. If you delete or abort one, the rule does not bring it back. Changing a rule affects what is planned from then on; cleans already planned stay.
