Door-code operations
A door code is the most sensitive thing this product handles, so it moves through a deliberate pipeline: the code is set on the unit, revealed to a person, and handed to the guest - with every step in a ledger.
Set the codes on a unit
Section titled “Set the codes on a unit”Each unit carries two standing codes, physically set on its lock: a Guest code and a Cleaner code. Set or update them under the listing’s Access codes settings - an already-set code shows only a masked preview, never the value. Integrated smart locks that generate a fresh code per stay are provisioned for but not live yet (“This listing uses an integrated lock, which cannot be revealed here yet”).
The dual gate
Section titled “The dual gate”A guest code is released only when payment is verified AND ID is verified - and
the gate is checked at the moment of release, never earlier. If any ID check
exists on the booking, all of them must be verified; an unverified payment counts
for nothing. The Cleared for the door table on Guest Screening
(/verifications) shows this gate per upcoming stay: Payment × ID × Gate, row by
row.

Hand a code to a guest
Section titled “Hand a code to a guest”-
Open the booking’s Access codes panel. The guest code shows its state: Blocked (with the reason - “not fully paid yet” or “guest ID is not verified yet”), Ready to relay, Revealed to you, or Handed to guest.
-
When the gate is clear, press Reveal code. The code is visible to you only - hand it to the guest yourself, never paste it anywhere.
-
After you give it to the guest, press Mark handed to guest. The ledger now records who released the code, and when.
Codes that cleared the gate and are waiting on you also surface on Today under Codes ready to relay.
The ledger
Section titled “The ledger”Lock Codes (/lock-codes) is the tenant-wide relay ledger: every code relay
across your stays, with the booking, unit, guest, audience (guest or cleaner code),
and status - Scheduled, Ready to relay, Blocked, Revealed to POC,
Handed to guest, or Cancelled. The tiles count Blocked (attention),
Ready to relay, Revealed to POC, and Handed to guest.
