Group staff into teams
A team is a named group of seats - “Housekeeping A”, “Front Desk” - useful two ways: it organizes the directory, and it can carry roles that every member automatically holds, so staffing a shift is one placement instead of five role grants.
-
Click “New team” in the Teams panel of the Team screen.
-
Name it, optionally describe it.
-
Pick the roles this team grants (the same role-card grid as the invite dialog). This is optional - a team with no roles is purely organizational.
-
Tick the members to place on it, and Create team.
-
Edit any time by clicking the team’s card: rename, add or remove seats, change the carried roles, or Disband team. Disbanding removes the grouping and its carried roles; it never deletes the people.
How team-carried roles show up
Section titled “How team-carried roles show up”In the member directory, a role that arrives via a team appears as a dashed chip labeled “via {team}”, so you can always tell a direct grant from an inherited one. Under the hood the person simply holds the union of both - there is no difference in what they can do.
What’s next
Section titled “What’s next”- Limit a seat to specific properties with the team as the subject.
- Choose the right role for what the team should carry.
