Group staff into teams

Screen /team · Roles: Admin

A team is a named group of seats - “Housekeeping A”, “Front Desk” - useful two ways: it organizes the directory, and it can carry roles that every member automatically holds, so staffing a shift is one placement instead of five role grants.

  1. Click “New team” in the Teams panel of the Team screen.

  2. Name it, optionally describe it.

  3. Pick the roles this team grants (the same role-card grid as the invite dialog). This is optional - a team with no roles is purely organizational.

  4. Tick the members to place on it, and Create team.

  5. Edit any time by clicking the team’s card: rename, add or remove seats, change the carried roles, or Disband team. Disbanding removes the grouping and its carried roles; it never deletes the people.

In the member directory, a role that arrives via a team appears as a dashed chip labeled “via {team}”, so you can always tell a direct grant from an inherited one. Under the hood the person simply holds the union of both - there is no difference in what they can do.
