Set static access codes

A listing’s Access codes tab stores the two persistent codes physically set on the unit’s lock or lockbox: the Guest code and the Cleaner code. These are the codes for a unit whose lock mode is Static - the same code until you physically change it.

Screen /properties/<property>/listings/<unit> · Roles: Property Manager, Airbnb Manager (the tab only appears for seats that manage static codes)
  1. Open the unit’s page and go to the Access codes tab.

  2. Type the Guest code into its field and click Set - after changing the physical lock to match.

  3. Do the same for the Cleaner code. A code that has never been set shows a Not set pill.

  4. To rotate a code later, type the new one and click Update.

These two are easy to confuse, and they live in different places on purpose:

Static codes (here) Per-stay codes
What they are The permanent code on the physical lock A code released for one booking
Where they live The listing’s Access codes tab The booking’s access-codes panel
When they change When you physically rotate the lock Every stay
Who receives them Handed to the guest or cleaner during the stay flow Released to the guest behind the payment + ID gate

The hand-over itself - revealing a code and marking it handed to the guest - happens on the booking, not here, and only once the stay’s release gate is clear (payment received and ID verified). See Bookings & stays for that flow. If a booking’s panel says No code set, this tab is where the missing static code gets filled in.

The unit is sellable and enterable - now decide whose money its revenue is: The Finance & operating model tab.
