Connect Airbnb

Screen /channels · Roles: Admin, Channel Setup

The Airbnb screen (that is its name in the sidebar - it connects to exactly one marketplace, so the page says so) is your channel home: per property, it shows the sync shape, what is enabled, and what the channel itself last confirmed. Connecting a channel is deliberately restricted to Admins and the narrow Channel Setup role.

The Airbnb screen - accounts, per-property sync status, and unit rows

  1. Pick the sync shape for each property: Individual units (each unit gets its own Airbnb calendar and price) or Pooled by type (Airbnb sells one listing per unit type). The shape locks once the property is provisioned - changing it later rebuilds the whole channel setup and detaches the Airbnb connection.

  2. Click “Enable Airbnb sync” on the property. This provisions it on the channel; a partial or failed run shows Retry enable, and already-created listings are kept.

  3. Click “Manage Airbnb accounts” (or Connect Airbnb on the property) and sign in to your Airbnb account inside the embedded manager. Each property can use its own Airbnb account.

  4. Map each Airbnb listing to its unit in the same manager - see Map your units to Airbnb.

  5. Turn on guest messaging when the property row offers it. Airbnb gates guest messages and reviews behind a messaging app on the channel side; without it, neither flows in, and the row tells you so.

The page paints from its own records first, then re-checks against the channel and says which one you are looking at: “Confirmed against the channel at …” means Airbnb was asked; “Showing what we last did” means it could not be reached, so nothing is confirmed. A property the channel has deleted shows Gone from channel - disable it here, then enable it again to set it up fresh.

  • Currency shown on Airbnb - what guests see on the channel; your direct nightly rates stay in their own currency, unchanged. You can set this even before sync is configured, which matters when Airbnb refused your default currency.
  • Hold back units (pooled properties) - how many units to keep off Airbnb, so the channel never sells your whole pool.
