Link units that share a space

If a whole villa also sells as its apartments, or a big apartment as two smaller ones, the same physical space is on sale at two grains - and selling both nights at once would be a double-sell. Linked units makes the overlap explicit: nest the smaller units inside the larger one, and booking any unit automatically blocks every unit it physically overlaps.

Link units with the wizard

1. Open the property’s Linked units tab and click Link units (it needs at least two units to offer anything).

2. Units - pick the Parent unit (the container - booking it blocks everything inside), then check the Units inside it. A unit the parent sits inside is hidden: a unit can’t contain its own container.

3. Interaction - decide how the units inside behave toward each other:

   • Can be booked at the same time - booking one blocks the parent, but the sibling units stay independently bookable (two apartments in one villa).
   • Cannot be booked at the same time - booking any unit inside also blocks its siblings; only one sells at a time.

4. Confirm - review the table (each row states exactly what booking that unit blocks) and click Confirm.

What booking one does to the other

• Booking the parent blocks every unit nested inside it, at every level.
• Booking a child always blocks its parent - and, under cannot be booked at the same time, its siblings too.
• The block is automatic and lives in the availability check itself; there is no calendar juggling to remember, and the calendar simply shows the overlapped nights as unavailable.

The tree on this tab shows the whole structure - parents badged with how many units sit inside and which interaction they use, children indented beneath. Unlink on any child makes it a top-level unit again.

Live stays block re-linking

Linking, unlinking, or switching to cannot be booked at the same time is refused while a unit (or one of its sub-units) holds active bookings or holds. Clear them first - the structure cannot change under a guest’s stay.

Nesting goes deeper than two levels

A villa can contain apartments, an apartment rooms, a room beds. Each level follows the same rule: booking a unit blocks everything it contains and everything that contains it.
