Dispatch a cleaning task
Every dirty unit waits in the Needs dispatch strip until you give it to a cleaner. The unit is out of service until then.
Assign a cleaner
Section titled “Assign a cleaner”-
On Housekeeping, find the unit in the Needs dispatch strip. A chip on each unit says Dirty for a routine turnover, or Deep clean when an inspector sent the unit back - somebody already cleaned it once and it was not enough.
-
Press Assign cleaner. The dialog opens with the unit pre-filled.
-
Pick the cleaner. The picker lists only team members who hold the Cleaner role. If the list is empty, the dialog says so and links to the Team page, where the role is granted.
-
Add a Note if the cleaner needs context. On a deep clean, use the note to name the external cleaning company if one is doing the work - the assignee is the team member overseeing it, and the board’s search reads this text.
-
Press Assign. The unit leaves Dirty and the job appears in the cleaning queue as Assigned.
Hand a job to someone else
Section titled “Hand a job to someone else”On a live task row, press Reassign and pick the new cleaner. The current record is preserved for the trail and a fresh assignment opens for the new cleaner. A same-day deadline never resets on a hand-off.
Abort a clean
Section titled “Abort a clean”Press Abort on the task row, give a reason (a cleaner no-show, an emergency), and confirm with Yes, abort. The unit returns to Dirty for a fresh dispatch, and the reason lands on the trail.
