Quick add a property
When you just want a building on the books, Quick add (on Properties, next to New property) creates everything you need to start taking bookings in one step:
- the property, with its name, type, city and check-in and check-out times;
- one unit type (for example Studio or Room);
- the number of units you ask for, numbered after the type: Studio gives STUDIO-1, STUDIO-2 and so on;
- the nightly rate, set on the unit type so every unit starts at the same price.
It is all or nothing: if any part cannot be saved (for example your plan has room for fewer units than you asked for), nothing is created and the form tells you why.
Filling it in
Section titled “Filling it in”- Property name, Property type and City. The property code is made from the name for you (Seaview House becomes SEAVIEW-HOUSE, or SEAVIEW-HOUSE-2 if that is taken). You can change it later on the property.
- Timezone is shown but not editable: every property uses your workspace timezone. If it is wrong, change it in Setup → Settings → General and it applies everywhere.
- Unit type and Number of units (1 to 50).
- Check-in and Check-out start at your workspace defaults.
- Nightly rate, in your workspace currency, as you would say it (for example 15000).
Click Add property and the new property opens.
What to do next
Section titled “What to do next”Quick add leaves out what the full New property wizard asks for: address, photos, reception contacts, policies. Add them from the property page when you are ready, or check Feature status to see what is still missing. To give one unit a different price, use its Pricing tab.
Who can use it: a seat that can manage both properties and listings (admins). A seat limited to some properties cannot add a new one; an admin adds it and assigns it.
