Translate your booking website into eleven languages

Screen /site · Translations · Roles: Admin edits; anyone with the site can view

Your booking site and guest app speak English, Arabic, Urdu, Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Russian and Portuguese. Arabic and Urdu read right to left.

  • Each language has its own address: English is your site as it is (/s/your-slug/rooms), and every other language adds its code (/s/your-slug/fr/rooms, or /fr/rooms on your own domain or subdomain). Search engines see every language, and each page tells them about the others.
  • On a guest’s first visit, the site opens in the language their browser prefers, if it is one of the eleven. After that the address decides, so a guest who picks English stays in English.
  • The language menu sits in the thin bar at the top of every page. In the guest app it is the small menu beside your name in the header; the guest app also remembers the language a guest last used on your booking site.

Everything the site itself says (buttons, the booking form, the check-in steps) is translated already. Your own text (tagline, introductions, property and room descriptions, page titles and sections, collection names, the guest app’s welcome, arrival and door instructions and its pages) is translated automatically within a few minutes of each save.

  1. Open Channels → Booking website and the Translations tab.

  2. Pick a Language. Every text is listed with its English and its translation, and a label: Automatic, Edited by you, English changed since or Not translated yet.

  3. To correct one, edit it and press Save. Your version is never overwritten by the automatic translation.

  4. When you change the English, a translation made from the old English is marked English changed since, and guests read your English until it is updated. Automatic ones redo themselves; for one you edited, Save keeps it, or Use the automatic one returns it to automatic.

Show Needs a look to list only what is missing or out of date. Automatic translation runs on the workspace’s existing AI setup; when it is not available, guests simply read your English.

When your workspace holds a recent exchange rate (from its billing rate refresh), the top bar shows a currency menu. A guest who picks one sees prices on cards, search results and the booking summary as “about €120”, and the booking summary says plainly “You will be charged PKR 40,000.” with the rate’s date. The quotation, the transfer and every record stay in your own currency.
