Choose the right role

Every seat combines an account role (the seat flavor) with zero or more operational roles (the job). Roles are deny-by-default: a person can do exactly what their roles grant, and the sidebar only shows the screens those grants reach. The seat flavors

  • Admin - the operator seat: settings, team, channels, website, billing, audit.
  • Member - the ordinary staff seat; carries a small read floor (bookings, guest history, the daily ops report) that operational roles build on.
  • Billing - subscription and invoices, plus finance reads.
  • Portal only - sees nothing but their own tasks; the required seat for portal-shaped roles like Cleaner.
  • Property owner - an external landlord; their statement portal and nothing operational.

The operational roles, by the job they do

Guest-facing - Point of Contact (inquiries, check-in/out, the human lock-code hand-off), Booking Manager (the funnel end to end, verification, approvals), Guest Manager (the only role that cancels or marks no-show; requests refunds), Front Desk (walk-ins, check-in/out), Co-Host (a light assist set).

Money - Account Manager: the single seat that verifies or rejects payments, approves and executes refunds, and records ledger transactions. That concentration is deliberate - money verbs live in one accountable place.

Property & housekeeping - Property Manager (housekeeping, inspections, maintenance, blocks), Housekeeping Coordinator (dispatch), and the portal trio Cleaner, Inspector, Maintenance (each sees only its own tasks).

Channel duties - Airbnb Manager (channel bookings plus lock-code generation), and four narrow splits so you can grant one without the others: Content Manager (push content), Availability Manager, Channel Pricing Manager, and Channel Setup (the trusted seat that connects the channel).

Oversight & external - External Accountant (finance reads and exports, read-only tax), Auditor (the audit trail and reports), Conflict Resolution Manager (damage claims - the only role that resolves them), Investor (their portal, nothing else).
