A cleaner's day
If you are a cleaner, the Housekeeping page is your whole app. When you sign in, you see your own jobs and nothing else, starting with My tasks today: each job shows the unit and - for a same-day turnover - the time it must be ready by. On a phone, the camera, the retry and the offline outbox are covered in The cleaner’s field view.
Do a job
Section titled “Do a job”-
Open My tasks today. A job that says Start: take photos is waiting for you; one that says Continue is already under way. Tap it to open the job page - the whole clean happens there, one step at a time. The steps across the top show where you are: Before photos, Start cleaning, After photos, Mark cleaned.
-
When you arrive, before you touch anything, press Take photo (or Add before photos or videos to pick files) and take pictures of the rooms as the guest left them - as many as you can. This protects you if something was already broken.
-
Your photos appear under Before cleaning, and Start cleaning appears below that section. Press it. The job changes to Cleaning so the office knows you are on site.
-
Clean the unit.
-
Press Add after photos or videos and take pictures of the finished rooms.
-
Your photos appear under After cleaning, and Mark cleaned appears below that section. Press it. You are done. What happens next depends on your workspace: usually the unit waits for an inspector to clear it, but a workspace that has switched off the inspection after cleaning makes the unit ready the moment you mark it cleaned - see Inspect a turnover.
If something looks wrong
Section titled “If something looks wrong”You do not judge damage - that is the inspector’s job. Just take clear photos of anything broken or missing with your before photos, and tell your coordinator. Finish the clean as normal unless told otherwise.
